Mumbai City FC has become the winner of Indian Super League 2024.
In a thrilling match, at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, Mumbai City beat Mohun Bagan 3-1.
It was kind of a revenge for the Mumbai team as last month the Mariners edged past the Islanders 3-1 to dethrone Mumbai City FC and get crowned the ISL Champions.
Back in 2020-21, the Mariners lost to Mumbai City FC 2-1 in the ISL final, and Antonio Lopez Habas was at the receiving end of that result.
Three years back, Mohun Bagan had squandered a 1-0 lead to to suffer a 1-2 defeat against the same team at the ISL final held in Margao, which was played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
